Dr. Johnson, currently a candidate running for the State of Florida House of Representatives, holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2012. His legal expertise is further demonstrated through his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Taxation from St. Thomas University College of Law (2006, magna cum laude) and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Barry University. As a passionate advocate for veterans’ rights and homelessness prevention, Dr. Johnson is the CEO and Founder of the Florida Coalition to Prevent Veteran Homelessness, Inc., a nonprofit established in 2021 to partner with the Veterans' Administration, Osceola County, FL, City of Kissimmee, FL and other community service organizations to combat and ultimately eradicate veterans' suicides, provide PTSD care, and eliminate homelessness across Florida. His commitment to supporting veterans extends to his pro bono role as Director of the Homeless Veterans' Program for the Mercy Foundation in Kissimmee, FL.
Dr. Johnson’s leadership extended both domestic and internationally as the Deputy Assistant Program Manager of International Programs for the U.S. Department of the Navy for 38 years of U.S. Government acquistition experiences. He oversaw the acquisition of U.S. Navy training flight simulators for the Presidential Helicopter HMX-1 and international programs. He has also contributed to higher education and global diplomacy through his pro bono service as the former Director of Compliance for the Walden University Chapter of the Fulbright Association, ensuring adherence to international guidelines and regulations. Dr. Johnson was recently given an Advisory role as a Congressional Justice Advisor Committee-person added to the Board of the Justice Advisory Committee for U.S. House of Representatives the Honorable Darren Soto.
A decorated U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Johnson served as a first responder in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm (1991) and has been honored with:

2. Two Meritorious Service Medals (MSM)
3. Two Global War on Terrorism Medals
4. Five Army Commendation Medals
5. Six Army Achievement Medals
6. Induction into the Library of Congress (2021) for military achievements
Additionally, he serves as an Osceola County, Fla. Infrastructure Planning Commissioner: Ensuring strategic oversight in critical infrastructure development and county zoning.
